WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TIGHTSCULPTING AND COOLSCULPTING?


TightSculpting uses fat lipolysis (destroys fat cells with heat) and CoolSculpting destroys fat cells by freezing them with fat cryo lipolysis. The question many ask is which treatment gives the best results with the least amount of associated pain, downtime, or risks.

CoolSculpting uses two vacuum applicators to pull targeted fat into the handpiece and freeze fat cells during a 60-minute session. The body takes a few months to eliminate the cells once they have been destroyed by CoolSculpting. It takes as little as 3 weeks to see results and results are typically not long-lasting. Patients often report that CoolSculpting is uncomfortable, as the vacuum sucks, pinches, and pulls the skin into the handpiece, and it can also leave bruises or even nerve damage. CoolSculpting can also only work in limited, small areas of the body due to its large, awkward handpieces.

TightSculpting is better described as hot sculpting, and it takes about 4 to 8 treatments where you could see a total loss of up to 5 inches in the targeted areas. TightSculpting is a safer, better-tolerated treatment that can cover more areas due to its small handpiece and to allow for better precision in specific problem areas. Hot sculpting also tightens the surrounding tissue during the same treatment, which prevents sagging skin once fat cells are eliminated, which leaves clients with beautiful skin and toned-looking bodies in just one treatment.

Common Patient Questions

  • Can I book an appointment for my spouse / friend / etc.?

    No. We require that all clients 18 years and older schedule their own appointments. This is in accordance with laws that protect patient privacy. However, if you’d like to pay for someone’s treatment, you are welcome to purchase a gift card or pay over the phone at the time of his or her service.

  • Can I bring my child / friend / mother / etc. with me?
    • Children: Due to the nature of our business, we cannot accommodate children in our facility. We do not allow children under the age of 18 in our office unless they have an appointment of their own, such as a Teen Facial. Please make prior arrangements if you have children in your care.
    • Friend / Mother / Etc: To maintain a private and quiet atmosphere, we do not allow extra guests with you at your appointment. If you have a friend or family member who would like to support you during your visit, please inform our staff when booking your appointment. Guests must have an appointment of their own if they intend to receive services of any kind. If your guest is interested in a consult we can book them for a separate appointment, or book the both of you for a double consult so you can both visit with one of our nurses at the same time. We’ll just need your guest to call and provide their own contact information and consultation fee.

  • How can I maintain my results?

    It is important to understand that most treatments are not “one and done.” For best results, follow all post-care directions for your specific treatment(s). We carry high-quality, medical-grade skincare that is proven to protect and enhance results post-treatment. You will receive a personalized skincare proposal based on your skin type and the treatment performed. Employing an at-home skincare routine is crucial to maintaining results long-term.

  • Are treatments painful?

    While some treatments may cause temporary discomfort, most of our treatments are comfortable and require no downtime or special precautions. We understand that pain tolerance varies from one client to the next, so our staff uses extra care and attention to ensure that each client is comfortable during and after a treatment.

  • Can you get rid of moles / scars / melasma / etc.?

    We do have treatments that can significantly reduce the appearance and texture of scars and pigments, however, we cannot guarantee that any benign skin lesions or pigmentations can be completely erased. Our trained nurses can assess your skin during a private consult and discuss realistic treatment results based on the severity of your skin concerns. Please note that some skin lesions may require assessment by a dermatologist before treatment.
