In these uncertain times, I feel like much of our lives are spent simply trying to get through one day to make it to the next. Due to the change of pace, I’ve found myself wanting to simplify many of my routines, including skincare, and have been gravitating towards multi-tasking products. If you had told me a few months ago that I’d find a product that would treat breakouts as well as sore muscles, I would have called you crazy. But this product does exist, and it’s the Element 47 Skin Fortifying Mist ($22).
I’ve used mists before to set my makeup but never as an actual treatment or skincare step. The great thing about Element 47 is that it’s formulated to preserve and enhance the skin’s function by locking in moisture while keeping skin clean and warding off acne-causing bacteria. It’s strong enough to remove any leftover makeup, dirt, or sunscreen left behind after cleansing and gentle enough to not strip the skin of its natural oils. Not only is it safe for the face, but for the rest of the body as well! So those hard-to-reach places on your back that are prone to breakouts are easily covered by the mist.
I mentioned that Element 47 also treats sore muscles- we learned about this during our Skin Type Solutions training back in January and I was eager to try it out. Colloidal silver is a primary ingredient in the formula which gives the mist its healing and soothing properties. And I have to say, it does work! Not a total solution but when I spray it on before a workout I do find that my muscles are less sore than when I don’t. I also recommend spraying it onto your yoga mat or towel post-workout to prevent any acne-causing bacteria from forming. I’ve also been spraying it on the inside of my face mask every day to prevent pesky “maskne” from forming and I have to say I haven’t had any more problems with mask-related breakouts.
