Part of my job as Client Care Coordinator at Ashtoria is to be able to give clients a good understanding of the services we provide. Pretty much every conversation with potential clients who ring our doorbell starts off with them asking, “What exactly do you do here?” The first thing out of my mouth is usually something about our medical grade facials because facials can be perceived as a much less intimidating service than, say, Botox or fillers. Mentioning our facials usually prompts the question, “What’s the difference between a medical grade facial and a regular facial?” This is seriously one of my favorite things to get asked because I feel like I could talk all day about what distinguishes our facial service from other med spas in our area.
For starters, a medical-grade facial includes the use of medical-grade products by our aesthetician. If you’ve been following our blog or if you consider yourself a skincare guru, you know that the effectiveness of medical-grade facial products makes that of a drugstore or over-the-counter brand pale in comparison. Our back bar consists of two lines, Visual Changes and Elta MD, both of which are used to cleanse, exfoliate, masque, treat, and protect the skin, so it only makes sense that these products should be of the highest quality. Unlike other spas, we don’t have a menu of facials to choose from, which I truly believe is a genius concept. Most of us, including myself, don’t always know what our skin needs. I want to leave my treatment up to the expert. This is exactly what we do at Ashtoria- our facials are customizable based on what your skin needs at that specific time. Consider it a consult and treatment in one and we’ve factored in this time to talk with your service provider and still get a one-hour-long treatment. We want to know what you’re currently using, any sensitivities you may have, and what your current skin concerns are as this will determine the products your service provider will use and how they will proceed.
In addition to top-notch skin care, our facials include the use of industry-leading technology such as diamond and crystal microderm, hydrofacial, high-frequency energy, medical grade peels, infrared and LED light therapy, hot and cold therapy, and oxygen therapy. Combined, the skincare and technology components of our facials target acne, aging, hyperpigmentation, texture, tone, and more. Now, are you ready to be shocked? Our facials are all-inclusive. So no expensive add-ons or up-selling. To put this in perspective, you would pay close to $200 for a hydrofacial or chemical peel service individually at other spas in our area. Our all-inclusive price is $150, so you pay less for an all-inclusive, thorough, and completely customizable service. Your first facial with us is always 50% off ($75) because we want clients to experience this one-of-a-kind service without hurting your pocketbook. We know that once you try one, you’ll be hooked, which is why we’ve structured packages for those who commit to taking care of their skin by coming in for monthly treatments (3 for $300 or 6 for $600). Oh, and did I mention a hot stone shoulder and arm massage is included? Talk about the perfect post-quarantine treatment!
In the meantime, be kind to yourself and we’ll see you when all of this is over!
